Privacy Policy
This policy covers LineAlgo (linealgo.com) operated by SIR Sports Tech. Review with legal counsel before scaled acquisition or app-store submission.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (stored as a salted hash via Supabase Auth). We do not collect your full name unless you provide it.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with LineAlgo, including pages visited, features used, picks submitted, contest entries, leaderboard activity, and timestamps of your sessions.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. LineAlgo does not store, log, or have access to full payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status to gate feature access.
Device and Technical Data
We may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and device type for security and product improvement purposes. We do not fingerprint devices.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to store your theme preference (dark/light mode) and cookie consent status. We use Vercel Analytics (cookieless, privacy-first) to understand aggregate traffic. We may use session cookies for authentication.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve LineAlgo features
- To authenticate your account and gate premium access
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To populate leaderboards, contest standings, and public records
- To grade picks and calculate verified W/L records
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or contest manipulation
- To send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets)
- To improve our line movement algorithms and DFS tools
- To comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not share your picks or activity with sportsbooks
- We do not use your data for retargeted advertising on other platforms
- We do not store payment card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details
- We do not use your email to send unsolicited promotional emails from third parties
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in US-based infrastructure.
- Stripe — payment processing only.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Request logs are held per Vercel's standard retention policy.
- Law enforcement — only when required by valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to prevent fraud. Public picks records (W/L history) may be anonymized and retained for platform integrity purposes.
6. Your Rights
California Residents (CCPA)
You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, opt out of the sale of your data (we do not sell data), and receive equal service regardless of whether you exercise these rights.
EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data. You may object to or restrict processing. To exercise any right, email us at privacy@linealgo.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security: HTTPS everywhere, Supabase Row Level Security policies, hashed passwords, and API key rotation. No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.
8. Children's Privacy
LineAlgo is intended for users 21 years of age and older (18+ in jurisdictions where DFS is permitted). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
9. AI Simulations
LineAlgo may use clearly labeled AI simulations for education, testing, and community activity demonstration. AI activity is not real user data and is not included in personal data subject to this policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of LineAlgo after changes constitutes acceptance.
